My wife asked me to photograph her favorite lily in our garden many years ago and that's how it all began.I am an award winning photographer, ( thanks to my wife), from southern Maine. My work has appeared on the cover of Maine Tour Magazine, in Popular Photography and Imaging Magazine along with several other national and local publications. My work was also accepted for display at the 2002 Portland Maine Flower Show and has been exhibited in several juried art exhibitions and is currently on display in a Maine Gallery.
Though I enjoy photographing most any subject, my true passion is in floral photography.
I consistently strive to keep my work fresh, new and exciting. I do so by employing a variety of creative photographic techniques.
I'm particularly fond of using multiple exposures and intentional camera movement which produce impressionistic or abstract effects.
Additionally, I also delve into the "digital darkroom" in order to create what I like to call my "photo paintings" - photos digitally transformed to resemble painted works of art.
